He reflects those in our lives who is often a thorn but sometimes an ally. My bigger issue -- and it may be nitpicking, because it doesn't seem to bother many others (at least here) -- is the less subtle attempts to ingrain the LAPD code in episodes (the new beginning, which hones in on the slogan on the car door is perhaps me at my most nit-pickiness; Malloy being a bit of a nag and judgemental to various collars and victims [like the dad a few weeks back]... those are getting on my nerve. I don't mind seeing more of the public complaining, often looking like morons, as it probably reflected the change people of authority faced during an era where 'Challenge the authority' and 'Stick it to the Man' were exploding. Not like today (that's sarcasm)... This show's biggest strength besides the two actors and the characters they play, is in showing how normal yet well-trained the officers were. Mistakes, they make a few, but they take the heat and try and shed it quickly. I won't say it 'humanizes police' because cops like Malloy and Reed are human. Unfortunately today's issues appear to reflect poor training, poor hiring and immense pressure the force is under. I'll shut up now!dandy danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18063678192378244547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432892204045467262.post-46549772662988338252016-05-01T20:37:01.871-04:002016-05-01T20:37:01.871-04:00Keely, harsh! (Unlike at least 1/3 of the cops I see, who are now about the size of a refrigerator and Lord knows how they get in and out of their cars.)Don Hilliardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432892204045467262.post-55052615526441231892016-03-28T22:43:38.370-04:002016-03-28T22:43:38.370-04:00Thank you Keeley!
